This course is organized into three distinct terms, each building upon the knowledge of the last.

- Lesson 5: Electrochemical Cells:Â Harnessing chemical reactions to generate electrical energy (batteries).
Term 2: Reaction Dynamics and Inorganic Chemistry
- Lesson 6: Chemical Reactions:Â Types of reactions and predicting products.
- Lesson 7: Energy and Energy Changes:Â Introduction to thermodynamics, including enthalpy and exothermic/endothermic reactions.
- Lesson 8: Chemical Equilibrium:Â Understanding reversible reactions and the factors that affect equilibrium.
- Lessons 9-13: Chemistry of Specific Elements:Â An in-depth study of the properties, reactions, and compounds of:
- Hydrogen and Hydrides
- Oxygen and its Compounds

- Sulphur and its Compounds
Term 3: Quantitative Analysis and Organic Chemistry
- Lesson 14: Water:Â Studying the properties and chemical nature of water.
- Lesson 15: Solubility:Â Understanding the rules and principles governing dissolution.
- Lesson 16: Mass-Volume Relationships:Â Applying stoichiometry to reactions involving gases and solutions.
- Lesson 17: Volumetric/Quantitative Analysis:Â Mastering titration techniques for quantitative measurement (e.g., acid-base, redox titrations).
- Lessons 18-21: Organic Chemistry:
- Lesson 18:Â Introduction to Hydrocarbons.
- Lesson 19:Â Saturated Hydrocarbons (Alkanes).
- Lesson 20:Â Unsaturated Hydrocarbons (Alkenes and Alkynes).
- Lesson 21:Â Alkanols (Alcohols).
- Additional Topic: A review of Volumetric and Qualitative Analysis to reinforce laboratory skills.
